The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory.

Some more Catalina Island.
The more I think about the term “followers” the more surreal it seems. It used to be a very sacred word or phrase that meant something magnanimous.
Now, no matter who we are or where we are from, we can have people ‘follow’ us. Although credibility or popularity will influence the number of followers you have, the fact is that they’re tuned in to your specific world-view and perspective of life.
Rex, from BalooCartoons.com was kind enough to let me edit the words on one of his comics to make this. The Twitter bird was added to reinforce the message.
There is something about trees with twirly branches that I just love. It’s part of the reason why I find Tim Burton’s leafless tree depiction to be so intriguing. It’s an odd dry symbol, and yet so fascinatingly artistic.
Even when I’m thinking… I doodle spirals. My notebooks are full of them. No boxes, squares, lines… just spirals of different types.
In the photos above, the tree on the left was at an airport on a foggy night. The one on the right was spotted at a Pink Floyd laser tribute show here in Austin.
Staring at water has a strange curative power. Helps with relaxing, putting the mind at ease, coming up with solutions to challenges, and inspiring new ideas. There is something about the slow movement of waves, reflections and ripples that has a magical effect on the brain. If binaural beats ease the mind through sounds, such visual senses can’t be far behind.
Photo taken recently at Lake Austin.
